PARISH SHOPPING MALL

The Parish Shopping Mall is avaialble for Parishioners and friends to help raise funds for the parish. The parish gets a small percentage, from the stores visited, for each purchase made online.

More people are now using the Parish Shopping Mall which helps the parish funds.

Thank you for that but much more help is needed, so do continue to use our parish Shopping Mall as much as you possibly can please.

There are some great shopping deals waiting for you in the Parish Shopping Mall - school books for the children, holiday, travel, software, and a wide variety of other shops.

To visit the Shopping Mall click on the link at the top of the page.

If you encounter any difficulties trying to do so, please contact the Webmaster, Kevin Jobson, by telephone: (0191) 410 9852, or email him at: birtleystjoseph@btinternet.com

THANK YOU -
FOR SUPPORTING THE CHARITIES
'HELP FOR HEROES' AND THE 'ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND'.
Members of the Parish have kindly supported these two Service charities by buying, to date, 17 copies of the book 'My Son The Enemy', written by local Author, David Hughes, also 6 packs of cards/notelets painted by David Hughes; thus raising a tremendous £182.00 for the two charities. Grateful thanks!
There are still copies of the books and cards/notelets available.
Details of the book 'My Son The Enemy' can be read by clicking here or on the link 'Charity-Book' above.
Should any other Parishioner like to buy a copy of the book and/or requires further information, please feel free to contact Kevin & Ursula Jobson, telephone: (0191) 410 9852, or email: k.w.j@btinternet.com

Update: At a Presentation Luncheon on Friday, 25th March 2010, attended by a number of our Parishioners, the sum of £6.500 each was handed to Representatives of 'Help for Heroes' and the 'Army Benevolent Fund' respectively. A very good result and many thanks to St Joseph's of Birtley Parishioners who have helped to make this charitable project a success by purchasing a copy of the book 'My Son The Enemy'.

This Charitable project is on-going so ....... anyone who would like to buy a copy of the book can do so by clicking on either of the links above.
My thanks to Father Tony Duffy for his kind permission to promote this charitable project on the Parish website.
Kevin Jobson, Webmaster.
